Unfortunately, there have been very few entries this week, but we’re hoping that will change. Me, most of all, since I can easily take the weekends off! What a shame! But without further delay, I bring you the first winner of our contest…Alexandru Cosmin’s Blog.

The main reason I’ve chosen this blog is utility. It may not be about embarrassing situations which others can learn a lot from - after they’ve had a good laugh, of course - but it makes up for that in quality content. You’ll notice that it has tips and tricks for those who are truly interested in having a nice looking blog, and also features download links for some very cool plugins and themes. What more could you need to “pimp your blog”?

Also, for users interested in making money, there’s a specific category which deals with that issue. Although there are relatively few posts here, they aren’t half bad, and if you noticed the widget on the right side of the page (which I’ve explained in the previous article) then you should be aware that the owner is in on the BlogRush service. Coincidence? I think not! I’d rather attribute it to blogging know-how and a keen nose!

However, since there have been so few entries, I’d like to also point out what set this one apart from the others. The 8 hands music blog gives some very interesting information, but it’s the aspect of it that didn’t really shine. I know this is quite unfair, but it’s all because of the first picture posted there (of Mark E. Smith), which just ruined the whole experience for me. I will admit that Miss Doxie has some funny entries, but I’d have to start reading the entire blog from start to finish to be able to see the full extent of the humor and to fully comprehend her point of view. I’m sure it’s a great life story, yet with the amount of information I’ve had time to gather, I really can’t relate to it.

I am sorry if some of you are disappointed, yet that is how I feel about these week’s entries. But as I’ve said, only weekly winners aren’t to participate again. If you feel one of this week’s runner-ups deserves another crack at the title, vote for it in our next stage of the Blog of the Week contest.
