The pace at which the traffic grew right from the beginning was amazing. That is because a lot of blogs and websites posted about Social Marker and Social Marker itself was posted on all of those social bookmarking sites. But the biggest traffic getter was Ed Dale from the Thirty Day Challenge. He sent out an email to over 10,000 people I believe. Thank you Ed for it!
All this burst of traffic required me to move to a new server which gave me a lot of headaches. I will talk about that in a post to come. Hopefully I won’t be having any more problems with the server.
The story about Social Marker got promoted to the homepage of Digg.com 13 days ago. That also gave Social Marker a burst of traffic.
The thing that I discovered today, and I was very pleased about it too, was that Social Marker got listed on the Movers and Shakers page on Alexa.com. Here’s the picture to prove it:

I love Social Marker! What I found when I first started using it, was that your tool actually worked for all the sites. You see, I used OnlyWire prior to social marker. So what I would do is post using onlywire, then use Social marker. the results were only Fark, would find the duplicate content. So my hats off to you and Social Marker.
I posted an article to my blog about social marker as well. I received emails from folks who truly enjoyed the fact that I would share such a great tool with the public. I know that I didn’t produce as much traffic as Ed, but I am sure that some of it was from your truly!!!

I have found it really useful in submitting articles that I have written to the social bookmarks I had to sign up with after installing the plugin. Installing the plugin was easy cos’ I use wordpress for the blogging platform for my blog.I simply installed it into my server and the social marker button was there under every blog entry.And, unlike Onlywire, your posts are definately there
when you login to your social bookmarking sites.

It would be cool if you could add the following feature…
a re-direct page that a webmaster could include at the end of the social bookmarking process. This way when a user is done bookmarking (s)he could end up on the page that webmaster wants him to land.
Possible marketing strategy:
membership sites could give 2 options to their visitors.
1) pay for the membership
or
2) get a free access to our site AFTER you bookmark our sites at 3 or more social community sites.
Webmasters would love this feature
