Talk about pointless

During my daily escapades of the net, I stumbled upon what I would call a very pointless web page. The actual site in itself is very useful, yet this certain part is only good for a few laughs. But I won’t show it to you just yet. That’d spoil all the fun.

We all know that music is composed of lots of sequences of notes. Every song has a pattern that it follows, certain sequences repeating themselves. In modern music styles, Techno in particular, these patterns are usually very easy to detect, as opposed to Rock and Roll songs, for instance. However, Techno lovers must admit that most songs usually lack meaningful lyrics, the same ones being repeated over and over again.

Which brings me to my discovery. Daft Punk really isn’t famous for having deep meanings hidden behind their lyrics (maybe in their videos, but definitely not their lyrics), yet this is really pushing it. I have to admit, the song isn’t bad, but why do music fans need to read the same line 72 times? In my opinion, the lyrics didn’t even need to be written down, as they are very clear in the song. However, it seems like someone had a little too much free time on their hands and just not enough ingenuity to simply type “Around the world, around the world” (x 72).

It’s a shame that it has come to this, yet I find it to be funny that someone would look up the lyrics to this song and be astounded at what they find. I simply cannot fathom someone thinking “Wow, I misunderstood line 15″. And to avoid being asked if I actually needed clarification of those lyrics (because I imagine that some of you might think that’s how I found them), no, I was just wondering if ATC had any video for their version of “Around the World”.

  1. Talk about pointless…

Maybe I’m a bit old fashioned, but I was taught not to state the obvious…over and over and over again. Apparently others feel they need to. Find out why……
